- The L.A. County Emergency Alert System will broadcast information on KNX 1070 am and KFI 640 am.
- The Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles will broadcast information about shelters on KNX 1070 am.
- L.A. County has a “reverse 911″ system. In the event of an evacuation or disaster affecting your area, 911 will call to alert you. Your landlines are already registered on this system. To register cell phone numbers or your email address, go to alert.lacounty.gov.
- In an emergency, call 911. For non-emergency information about city services, like police and fire departments, call 311. For information about local health and human services, call 211.
- To find your nearest fire station, go to LAFD.org.
- Go to the City of L.A. Emergency Management website readyla.org, enter your zip code, and find your nearest fire and police stations, hospitals and utilities.
